How to brew your coffee...

I get a lot of questions about the ideal amount of coffee to add depending on the number of cups being brewed. Coffee preference is highly subjective and varies from person to person, but if you were to join me for a cup, here are the general guidelines I follow to brew a pot:

Starting Recommendations

(1 scoop = approx. 10 grams):

• 2 cups: 2 scoops (20 grams)

• 4 cups: 4 scoops (40 grams)

• 6 cups: 6 scoops (60 grams)

• 8 cups: 8 scoops (80 grams)

• 10 cups: 10 scoops (100 grams)

Adjusting for taste...

Weaker Coffee:

 • 2 cups: 1.5-2 scoops (15-18 grams)

• 4 cups: 3-3.5 scoops (30-35 grams)

• 6 cups: 5-5.5 scoops (50-55 grams)

• 8 cups: 6.5-7 scoops (65-70 grams)

Stronger Coffee:

 • 2 cups: 2.2-2.5 scoops (22-25 grams)

• 4 cups: 4.5-5 scoops (45-50 grams)

• 6 cups: 6.5-7 scoops (65-70 grams)

• 8 cups: 9-10 scoops (90-100 grams)

• 10 cups: 11-12 scoops (110-120 grams)

Experimentation

Remember, these adjustments are just starting points. Feel free to experiment within these ranges to find the perfect balance that suits your taste. Different brewing methods may also require slight adjustments, so don’t hesitate to tweak the amounts based on your method and preference.
